Doctors

DR DAVID BRAZIER

(1988 Manchester) MBChB, MRCGP, DCCH, DRCOG

Dr Brazier has post-graduate qualifications and training in Child Health, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Family Planning, Dermatology, Diabetes, Heart Disease and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He is an undergraduate tutor for medical students from the University of Manchester and is involved in training future general practitioners.

DR DEBORAH BARTON

MBChB, MRCGP, DGM, DCH, DFSRH

Dr Barton obtained her medical degree from Bristol University in 1999 and completed her General Practice training in 2003. Her additional qualifications are Diploma in Geriatric Medicine (DGM), Diploma in Child Health (DCH) and Diploma in Family Planning (DFSRH).

DR ZALAN ALAM

Dr Alam qualifed as Doctor in 2002 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in 2013 and has been recognised with a Fellowship from the Royal College of General Practice as well as having qualifications in Medical Education and Leadership. He also is a GP trainer and works as a GP in Intermediate Care and where has broad experience in Old Age Medicine, Urgent Care and Palliative medicine.

DR MARC HANDFORD

MBChB, MRCGP, PG Cert Higher Education

Dr Handford undertook his undergraduate medical training at the University Liverpool and qualified as a GP in 2019.  He has been a Partner at Trinity Medical Centre since 2023.  Dr Handford has a strong interest in medical education and works part-time as a clinical lecturer and programme lead for simulation at Manchester Medical School.

Nurse Practitioners

PAULA BRAZIER

BSc (Hons)

Sister Brazier is an experienced practitioner with a specialist interest in diabetes, cardiac and kidney care. Sr. Brazier also has a well woman clinic (contraception, menopause, HRT and menstrual problems). She is currently undertaking an MSc in Advanced Practice.

JANE REYNOLDS

RGN

Sister Reynolds is an experienced practitioner with special interest in immunisation, contraception, asthma, COPD and mental health.

VICTORIA CURTIS

Sister Curtis is an experienced practitioner with special interest in immunisation, asthma and COPD.

Nurses

Our Three part-time practice nurses are based at the surgery. They work alongside the doctors and also run clinics covering routine bloods, blood pressure checks, well person checks, travel immunisations, smears, asthma checks, COPD checks, diabetic checks, elderly checks, contraception, ECG’s and any other general advice. All Nurses undertake general nursing duties.

Our Practice Manager is available to help you with any enquiries regarding the running of the Practice. She is also available by prior arrangement to address any problems which you may have encountered and to discuss any suggestions which may improve our service to you.

Isabel is the Assistant Practice Manager; if you have any queries and the Practice Manager is not available then Isabel will be available.

Reception

Our receptionists make appointments, deal with repeat prescriptions and any requests for home visits. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses. The receptionists employed by the practice are here to help and we would be grateful if patients could respect the reception staff at all times. Foul language and verbal abuse will not be tolerated in any circumstances.

Health Visitors

Telephone: 764314 A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
